The Altamira plant delivers many product grades.
Chemours Titanium Technologies is the world's largest producer of titanium dioxide (TiO₂), a key component in some of the whitest, brightest, and most efficient applications for architectural and durable automotive and aerospace coatings, plastics, laminates, and paper.
Chemours formulations are based on chemistry we pioneered in 1931 and have been improving ever since to build a better quality of life for millions around the world. We deliver industry-leading innovation that addresses the growing worldwide demand for high quality TiO₂. We have an unwavering commitment to safety, the well-being of people and the protection of the environment. With more than 80 years of experience in the production and handling of TiO₂—a material used in the manufacture of paints, paper, plastics and laminate floors—we create policies and standards that guide our operations and minimize business risks.
The Altamira plant was established in 1960. Since its creation, the plant has always worked in close collaboration and communication both with the authorities and with the community. Our strong social responsibility policy involves working hand in hand with communities. Therefore, at Chemours we operate with total transparency and under an open-door policy.
