Geosyntec Consultants of NC, PC (Geosyntec) has prepared this Offsite Screening Level Exposure Assessment (SLEA) of Site-Associated PFAS Workplan for The Chemours Company FC, LLC (Chemours) for the Fayetteville Works facility in Bladen County, North Carolina.
This report was prepared by Geosyntec Consultants of NC, P.C. (Geosyntec) for The Chemours Company FC, LLC (Chemours) as the first semiannual report for Ongoing Sampling of the concentrations of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (“PFAS”) in process wastewater, non-process wastewater, and stormwater at the Chemours Fayetteville Works, North Carolina site (the Facility, Figure 1).

Chemours regrets that we must file an appeal of the Final NPDES Permit (NC0090042) issued by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Resources (NCDEQ) dated September 15, 2022, related to the water treatment system for our mile-long barrier wall designed to further reduce PFAS loading from groundwater into the Cape Fear River.

Following up on my February 6, 2019 submission to you, please find enclosed the final report from Weston Solutions, Inc. (“Weston”) for the testing of the Vinyl Ethers North (“VEN”) Carbon Adsorber Unit conducted on January 16 and 17, 2019.
Pursuant to the requirements of Paragraph 17 of the proposed Consent Order, Chemours is notifying the Division of Waste Management of the completion of the permanent lining of the north sedimentation pond.
