The Chemours Company (Chemours), a wholly-owned subsidiary of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (DuPont), marked its planned spin-off from DuPont today by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Monday, June 29, 2015. Chemours stock is expected to begin trading on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 under the symbol CC.

A New Company with a Storied Past
President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Vergnano rang the bell signaling the opening of the day's trading. He was joined by Richard Brown, chairman of the board; Chris Siemer, president, Chemical Solutions; E. Bryan Snell, president, Titanium Technologies; Mark E. Newman, SVP and chief financial officer; Beth Albright, SVP, human resources; Erich Parker, VP, corporate communications and chief brand officer; Dave Shelton, general counsel; and Darrell Bishop, a Chemours employee chosen in a drawing to represent the Chemours workforce.
